Songfacts®:

  • This celebration of love features Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign and was partially inspired by Breezy's relationship with Karrueche Tran. "I know it was hard for him," Ferg told Genius about observing Brown while they were recording. "He kept leaving the studio to talk on the phone with her. He was apologizing for something. He was like, 'Yo Ferg, what are we writing about?' There were mad dudes in the room. And I was like 'Love!' That's how we came up on the hook."
  • This was the first musical collaboration between A$AP Ferg and Chris Brown, though the Harlem rapper previously appeared in Breezy's "Picture Me Rollin'" music video.
  • Ferg's relationship with Brown predates his music. Their friendship originated when Breezy invited the rapper into the studio in LA after being shown a photo of a teenage Ferg selling him a belt he had designed himself. Ferg recalled. "I was designing belts - I met Chris Brown and Swizz Beatz strictly off belt-making."
