Songfacts®:

  • This cut finds Blake Shelton setting the romantic mood:

    Girl, I ain't just flirting, I'm certain
    I'm working on a long-term plan
    Gonna be your man
Gonna put a little rock steady on your hand

The song was written by Luke Laird and Craig Wiseman, who also penned together Blake Shelton's hit single "Hillbilly Bone". Laird's other credits include Kenny Chesney's "American Kids" and Eric Church's "Give Me Back My Hometown." Craig Wiseman's resume features Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying," which earned him the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
