Songfacts®:

  • Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd told Q magazine: "When Yogi joined the band I told him that if he was going to write for Buckcherry he had to get a little sicker in his mind. Right after that he busts out the riff that later became this song. I just let the riff inspire me. It's a song for all the well-endowed stars I've met and hung out with in L.A. Some of 'em have changed my life."

Todd added: "I always like to talk about 'Porno Star,' because it's the first song I wrote in the third person. I was watching a documentary on this porno star's life, but it wasn't just him banging chicks. It showed him waking up in the morning and opening the garage door and he had all these bikes and dope rides. I think every male gets in front of a mirror at some point - while you're banging this chick and having sick, hard sex - and thinks of himself as a porno star."
