Songfacts®:

  • Dustin Lynch penned this song with Josh Leo (Alabama, Leann Rimes) and Tim Nichols (Tim McGraw, Chris Young). The same trio also wrote Lynch's breakthrough hit "Cowboys and Angels."
  • The song's instrumentation was designed to pay homage to Lynch's hero, George Strait. "He's one of the guys that really made me fall in love with country music," he told Rolling Stone Country. "We purposely did a throwback sound that we're really proud of. It's special to tip my hat to the guy who paved the way for all of us."
