Songfacts®:

  • This song was penned by Brit and Ivor Novello-nominated singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot and Grammy nominated remixer, record producer, songwriter and keyboard player Andy Chatterley. The songwriters, who both hail from the Channel Islands, also wrote the album's title track. Pallot explained to The Daily Telegraph how she ended up writing for Minogue: "Her A&R man heard a song of mine that was meant to be a single and contacted my manager. When Kylie called me I really didn't believe it was her. Then when she came to the studio in a nasty part of London I thought: 'OK, she really does want to do this'. I feel very lucky that I've fallen on my feet like this. She's really accommodating and lovely and approachable and normal."
  • The song's music video was directed by Minogue herself with the help from William Baker. The clip is not available for viewing in the singer's home country of Australia on the grounds of copyright.
  • The week this song became Minogue's sixth Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs #1, she also charted two places further down at #3 as a featured artist on Taio Cruz's "Higher." This meant the Australian singer became the first act in the history of the US Dance chart to claim two of the top three ranks concurrently.
