Songfacts®:

  • Miranda hesitated to record this Luke Laird and Natalie Hemby penned tale of erotic longing for a number of years. She told Reuters: "I've had that song for seven years and finally I got the courage to record it after passing on it the last two albums. I wanted it to sound kind of grungy and dirty, but still cute and fun."
  • The production Miranda settled on includes some electronic processing on her voice, giving it a distorted sound as if she is singing through an old radio. The instrumental backing is a sort of bluesy stomp transforming the song into something you might imagine that an indie rock artist like Liz Phair or PJ Harvey might record.
