• Although this was released as the second single from his debut album, Nevil was hoping it would take the lead spot over what would be his biggest hit, "C'est La Vie." He explained in a Songfacts interview: "When you're first coming out as an artist, you have this idea of the way you picture yourself and the vibe around you. At the time, I was thinking more about that than the commercial side: what's your best radio song that's going to be the most popular, whatever. As an artist, sometimes you're thinking about things that aren't really the most important. Looking back, I think 'Dominoes' was one that I was hoping for, for whatever reason."
