• Rowan Harrington is a Techno/House DJ and producer who records under the name of SecondCity. Harrington was born in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to the United Kingdom with his parents when he was 12. He was one half of the house duo Taiki & Nulight before leaving to focus on his own career. This bright house track is his debut solo single. Released on May 25, 2014 it immediately reached #1 in the UK.
• The song samples Toni Braxton's "You're Makin' Me High," which was the singer's first #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1996. It also reached #7 in the UK.
• The lead vocals are provided by powerhouse session singer Kelli-Leigh who was previously sampled on Duke Dumont's "I Got U." "Gotta Get Thru This" singer-songwriter Daniel Bedingfield sings the male vocals.
• SecondCity revealed to MTV UK that he almost gave away the track as a free download, after sending it to dubstep producer Skream. "I've been an underground artist for so long, and just made music for…this makes me sound really selfish when I say music for myself, but that's the kind of music for my DJ sets and stuff and I Wanna Feel was just really that," he explained. "That's all it was."
  
  "When I sent it to Skream, he was the first person I sent it to, he was really excited about it and I kind of thought at the time 'ah this is wicked', you know maybe it'll come out on a cool little label and it will do well on Beatport and that'll be cool and blah blah blah."
  
  "Then I think we decided 'nah we're not gonna do that we're gonna give it away as a free download and we're gonna do a music video and that'll be great and that's what we were set on. It wasn't until we'd actually got the music video done and we had everything finished, my manager was like 'I don't think we should do this, we should probably just wait for a little while'."
  
  "I was getting phone calls from Skream and a few other people just like 'don't put this tune out, don't do anything with it'…and then about two weeks went by and suddenly there was just people coming from all these massive labels, like huge independents like Ministry obviously and then more major labels like Sony and Columbia with them all asking to sign it and it was just surreal."
