Songfacts®:

  • Sevendust lead singer Lajon Witherspoon met a women and they both fell instantly in hard lust. They had an affair for a couple of years, and despite her plans to marry another man, they couldn't stop. The lyrics stating that he "Would hold you and steal everything from your your truth" means that despite moral concerns, he had to have her, and "Field with no solitude" is a place where they would not have to hide their relationship. Witherspoon wrote this as his apology to her for crossing that line. >>>

  • Zero from Nowhere, NjAwesome song! When he says, "Could we find ourselves walking through a field with no solitude?" it's like him saying, "Could we possibly not keep our relationship a secret and not have to worry about the consequences?" Animosity was my favorite album until I heard Cold Day Memory. Can't wait for Black Out the Sun later this month!
