  • White Stripes leader Jack White wrote this song in the late '90s before they released their first album. He offered it to a local Detroit band called The Henchmen, but they didn't use it. When it came time to record the fourth White Stripes album, Elephant, Jack's bandmate (also his ex-wife) Meg White remembered the song and suggested they record it themselves.

    Running just 1:48, it's typical of their early sound, with unadorned guitar and drums powering through.
