Songfacts®:

  • This song features the Danish vocalist Johan Olsen of rock group Magtens Korridorer, who sings the chorus in his native language. It is the second collaboration between Olsen and Volbeat following 2007's "The Garden's Tale," which was the band's first hit single in Denmark.

Volbeat guitarist Rob Caggiano explained to TeamRock: "It was kind of a special collaboration and Johan is an amazing singer, so it's always been something that the band wanted to do again but they felt like if they did it too soon after then it would've felt a little contrived. Now so much time has passed, it felt like the time was right to try to capture that magic again."
  • The song title translates into English as "Forever."
  • The banjo in the middle section is played by Scottish musician Rod Sinclair, who lives in Denmark. Caggiano said: "He actually played on the last record and we took him on tour last year, so it just made sense to have him guest on this record as well."
  • "For Evigt" is replaced by "The Bliss" on the North American version of Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie. It is the same song but with the Danish chorus sung by Olsen replaced by one performed by Michael Poulsen in English.
