  • Waka Flocka Flame, who is known to his mom as Juaquin Malphurs is an American rapper based in Atlanta. His mother is Debra Antney, Gucci Mane's manager and the CEO of So Icey/Mizay Entertainment. It was Gucci who gave Malphurs his stage name.
  • This street anthem was his first single to enter the Billboard Hot 100 despite the fact Waka originally had reservations about pushing it. He told MTV News in February 2010: "I did 'O Let's Do It' about a year and some months ago, on my first [street] CD, Salute Me or Shoot Me, Volume 1. My mama, she heard all the songs I ever recorded. She said, 'I like that song. That song is gonna go.'" Obviously, he took his mom's advice.
  • Waka explained the song's meaning to MTV News: "When I made the song, I felt I messed my money up. 'O Let's Do It' means any way you wanna do it. You wanna fight, you wanna pow-pow? You wanna bite, scratch, arm-wrestle? O, let's do it."
  • Ludacris recorded a version of this song for his mixtape, The Conjure Mixtape: A Hustler's Spirit, which was released to promote his brand of cognac. The rapper explained about his takeover of Waka Flocka Flame's cut to MTV News:"That's a beat that caught my attention the first time I heard it. I was in the studio with Gucci Mane. It's aggressive. I felt like I wanted to do something on it. I made it happen. What am I talking about [on the track]? It's about lifestyle, about culture, expressing yourself. It's about getting gritty and grimy in the streets. All the hustlers know that. Let's do it."
