  • Once upon a time, I believe it was a Tuesday when I caught your eye
    And we caught onto something
I hold onto the night, you looked me in the eye and told me you loved me

    Were you just kidding?
'Cause it seems to me, this thing is breaking down
    We almost never speak
    I don't feel welcome anymore
Baby what happened? Please tell me
'Cause one second it was perfect
Now you're halfway out the door

And I stare at the phone, he still hasn't called
And then you feel so low, you can't feel nothing at all
And you flashback to when he said, "Forever and always"
Oh, and it rains in your bedroom
    Everything is wrong
It rains when you're here and it rains when you're gone
'Cause I was there when you said, "Forever and always"

    Was I out of line?
Did I say something way too honest, made you run and hide
    Like a scared little boy
    I looked into your eyes
Thought I knew you for a minute, now I'm not so sure

So here's to everything coming down to nothing
Here's to silence, that cuts me to the core
    Where is this going?
Thought I knew for a minute, but I don't anymore

And I stare at the phone, he still hasn't called
And then you feel so low, you can't feel nothing at all
And you flashback to when he said forever and always
Oh-oh, and it rains in your bedroom
    Everything is wrong
It rains when you're here and it rains when you're gone
'Cause I was there when you said, "Forever and always"

    You didn't mean it baby
    I don't think so

    Oh, oh-oh

Oh, back up, baby, back up
    Did you forget everything?
    Back up, baby, back up
    Did you forget everything?

'Cause it rains in your bedroom
    Everything is wrong
It rains when you're here and it rains when you're gone
'Cause I was there when you said, "Forever and always"

Oh, I stare at the phone, he still hasn't called
And then you feel so low you, can't feel nothing at all
And you flashback to when we said, "Forever and always"

And it rains in your bedroom
    Everything is wrong
It rains when you're here and it rains when you're gone
'Cause I was there when you said forever and always
    You didn't mean it baby
You said, "Forever and always", yeah Writer/s: Taylor Swift

  • Swiftie4life from PpppI love tay tay so much. And forever and always is a great song #fearless #motherismothering #taytayswaysway
  • Brea Ames from HouseWow... thank you, this is a lot of good information, but I feel you should put more information on why Taylor felt this way. What happened in the relationship for her to feel this way? Did she now of something that could of made her heartbreak less heartbreaking or did she know he did not like her anymore and couldn't resist
  • Malia PittsThis song has got to be one of my favorites from fearless and fearless tv. It has such emotion behind it; sends me crying every time I hear it. Especially with the piano version. The song is beautifully written and a heartstring-puller. Taylor, you're doing amazing girlie! Love this song! Joe Jonas didn't deserve her, she deserves so much more!
  • Karen from Manchester, NhReading what she said about not wanting to overthink the vocals...that is what I love most about her. Singers like Carrie Underwood have technically beautiful voices - she hits all of the right notes - but there is no emotion, no dynamics. Just volume. While Taylor's voice may not be the most technically perfect, she DOES put dynamics and emotion into all of her songs and that, to me, is great singing.
  • Bailey from Toronto, Onwhat joe jonas said, are you kidding me? what a butt. really.... but forever and always has always been one of my favorite songs.
  • Joel from Los Angeles, CaUgh. Why the hell would Taylor Swift date that puto Joe Jonas? That dude broke Demi Lovato's heart. Back to the song: It's a good song. Taylor really knows how to invoke emotions in her writing. My favorite Taylor Swift songs include Crazier and You Belong With Me. I will add this one to my playlist. Sorry Jonas Brothers fans but the dudes really
    suck.
  • Julie from Pittsburgh, Paaww taylor! :) i love this songg!
  • Jennifer from Terre Haute, InI think its a good idea to right down your feelings and if you are talented enough to turn it into a soing then thats wonderful.!
  • Hope from Naperville, Ilwhat a good message.
  • Emily from Around Chicago, IlIn the booklet that comes w/the CD, there are hidden messages in the lyrics. You take all the capital letters and put them in order to spell a phrase. Forever & Always's message is: IF YOU PLAY THESE GAMES WERE BOTH GOING TO LOSE.
  • Natalie. from Beverly Hills , Cathis song is amazing.
    you dont need joe darlin!
