  • Laugh and say I'm green
I've scene things you'll never see
    Talk behind my back
    I'm off the beaten track
    I'll take on anyone
Ain't scared of a bloody nose
Drink til I drop down with one eye of my clothes

What is it? I'll take it
Who is she? I'll rape it
Got a bet there? I'll beat it
Gettig high? You can't beat it

    Doctor Jimmy and Mister Jim
When I'm pilled you don't notice him
He only comes out when I drink my gin

    You say she's a virgin
I'm gonna be the first in
    Her fellah's gonna kill me?
    Oh fucking will he
I'm seeing double but don't miss me if you can
There's gonna be trouble when she chooses her man

What is it? I'll take it
Who is she? I'll rape it
Got a bet there? I'll beat it
Gettig high? You can't beat it

    Doctor Jimmy and Mister Jim
When I'm pilled you don't notice him
He only comes out when I drink my gin

Is is me for a moment? The stars are falling
The heat is rising The past is calling
Is is me for a moment? The stars are falling
The heat is rising The past is calling

I'm going back soon home to get the baboon
Who cut up my eye, tore up my Levis
I'm feeling retless bring another score around
Maybe something stronger could really hold me down

What is it? I'll take it
Who is she? I'll rape it
Got a bet there? I'll beat it
Gettig high? You can't beat it

    Doctor Jimmy and Mister Jim
When I'm pilled you don't notice him
He only comes out when I drink my gin

Is is me for a moment? The stars are falling
The heat is rising The past is calling

  • Guy from Benson, NcLove this tune. I think Quadrophenia gets overlooked as a complete recording. The whole 4 separate personalities based on The Who members fell short, but it's such a solid album.
  • Wayne from Salem, VaA Great song from a great album by a great band,THE WHO! Quadrophenia is my personal all-time favorite Who album. And this song is a rocker like mostly all of The Who's songs. This is the first song on side-4 of the original "Quadrophenia" album.----"Dr. Jimmy and Mr.Jim.When I'm pilled you don't notice him. He only comes out when I drink my gin."
  • Lester from New York City, NyThis song sets the real-life scenario of so many 'regular guys' that sren't happy with their regular selves, and like to become a more 'emboldened' thru drugs and alcohol.
  • Chloe from Seattle, WaReally? No love? This is my favorite!
